What information do you need to process my car insurance quote? 

In order to give you the most accurate quote possible, it is helpful if you can have the following information ready:

  • G1 license date
  • G2 license date
  • G license date
  • Current Drivers Abstract
  • Prior Carrier Experience Letter

I want to get the cheapest insurance I can. Can you suggest ways I can get some further discounts and price reductions?

Definitely. A few options for auto insurance include special discounts for winter tires, having Telematics installed in your vehicle and choosing Pay as You Go auto insurance if you drive less than 9,000 kms per year. Will I save money by getting my home and auto insurance from one provider?

Yes, that is the case with most insurance companies and is a smart way to get cheaper insurance coverage.

Is ‘Pay as You Go’ auto insurance an option for me?

This depends on how much you drive. If you drive anywhere less than 9,000 kms per year, then it is a good option to save on your premiums. If you drive more than this, pay as you go would not offer any cost savings relative to a standard auto insurance plan. Learn more here.

I’ve got a trip coming up and I’m planning to rent a car. Is my Ontario car insurance enough to cover me or do I need to purchase coverage from the car rental company?
